Technique 40

The PADI Tec 40 course is characterized as the transition from recreational to technical diving. It is the first step and starting point of the PADI Tec Diver course.

WHAT CHANGES WITH THE TEC COURSES?

First change your attitude in the water as a diver . Times and equipment will be different ("backmouth" or "simemount" configuration and your underwater adventures will acquire extended times with the enrichment of an additional decompression tank.

The course qualifies you to dive to a maximum depth of 40 meters using air or air enriched with Nitrox up to 50% oxygen . You will finally be able to include your no-decompression curve up to a maximum of 10 minutes of decompression and make your technical dives with 2 tanks.

Access requirements:

Course program:

  • risks and responsibilities of technical diving
  • technical equipment, preparation and assembly
  • gas planning, oxygen limits and decompression planning
  • Team diving techniques and emergency procedures: managing a continuous supply, manifold system control and running out of air simulations

Required age

Age 18 with 30 logged dives

Course prerequisites

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course with at least 10 enriched air (nitrox) dives deeper than 18m/60ft

PADI Deep Diver Course o Proof of having completed at least 10 dives to 30 metres/100 feet

EFR certification within 24 months, medical clearance for diving.

Technique 45

The PADI Tec 45 course is the second step of the complete PADI Tec Deep Diver program. The depth limit you will be able to reach will be 45 metres/145 feet .

Unlike the PADI Tec 40 you will deepen the issues relating to the technical equipment used and any related problems. Together with your professional instructor you will choose the right equipment for your program: backmount or sidemount configuration. And not only that, the course includes gas planning and calculation of accelerated decompression stops.

Access requirements:

You will then be qualified to:

  • Make accelerated decompression dives using air, EANx enriched air, or oxygen to a maximum depth of 45 meters.
  • use only one decompression gas up to 100% oxygen
  • carry out technical dives with a maximum of 3 tanks

Required age

Age 18 with 30 logged dives

Course prerequisites

PADI Tec 40 Diver course with at least 50 dives, at least 12 enriched air (nitrox) dives deeper than 18 meters/60 feet and 6 dives deeper than 30 meters/100 feet

PADI Rescue Diver course

EFR certification within 24 months, medical clearance for diving.

Technique 50

The Tec 50 is the third part of the PADI TEC course. Like the other modules, it consists of theoretical sessions, three practical sessions and four training dives in open water. You are a technical diver and as such you will be required to use all the complete technical equipment that the course provides. Fundamental objectives of this course are the planning and execution of the underwater mission. You will also deepen the techniques to be applied in emergencies. You will demonstrate that you have developed the attitude and technical role of a professional diver during the course of the programme.

Access requirements:

The PADI Tec 50 course qualifies you to:

  • Make accelerated decompression dives using air, EANx enriched air, or oxygen to a depth of 50 meters.
  • use only one decompression gas up to 100% oxygen
  • perform technical dives with up to 4 tanks

Required age

Age 18 with 30 logged dives

Course prerequisites

PADI Tec 45 Diver course with at least 100 dives, at least 20 enriched air (nitrox) dives deeper than 18 meters/60 feet and 6 dives deeper than 30 meters/100 feet

PADI Rescue Diver course

EFR certification within 24 months, medical clearance for diving.
